THE VIEW

The above picture shows the view into some dungeon with two enemies standing in front of the party and a control bar below the view.

  • Red bars on the bottom of the view show HP (hitpoints) of the enemies and the names of them. The bar with white frame indicates active target. Click enemy's HP bar to switch active target. When you hit the enemy, bar shows amount of damage you made. The bar changes color if enemy's condition is changed to frozen, stunned or poisoned.

  • In the upper right corner there is a minimap showing the closest surroundings of the party. Click it to get the map of the level.

  • Silver star below the minimap indicates unread quest record. Click it to enter directly the quest log to know, what quest was assigned to you.

  • On the left side, there can be summoned creatures (if you have the ability to summon them) with unsummon button below them. You can have up to 4 creatures. You attack with summoned creature by simply clicking its icon.

  • If you find object or people you want to interact with, simply click them in the view.
  • If you want to take or drop item on the ground, click the ground (bottom edge of the view). You will enter the inventory and you'll be able to shift with the items as you like. More about inventory later.
  • THE CONTROL BAR

Control bar has faces of your heroes on the left side, controls for active hero in the middle and walking arrows on the right side.

  • Below hero's face is red bar for his/her health and blue bar for the stamina. Face also indicates states of the hero (if there are any) and duration spells on him with change of color and small symbols on it. Click the face to make the hero active. Click it again to enter the inventory.
  • Middle part shows controls for the active hero. Big button (with tripple flail) is hero's action button. It shows equipped weapon. Click it to perform basic strike with the weapon.
  • Next to it there is a symbol of an active skill - click it to perform the skill and it will be done right away. If it's a charging skill, it will change the action button and displays level of charge there. You will be able to shoot charged spell or strike later with the action button.
  • Below the active skill there is a skill selector (grey down arrow). Click it to pop up list of known skills to choose another one as active.
  • Next to active skill is end turn button (sand-glass icon). Use it to finish the round wilfully.
  • Below the end turn is the defensive/offensive switch, to change hero's fighting tactics.
  • INVENTORY

By clicking hero's face twice you enter the inventory:

  • Upper left area shows list of the items with scrolling arrows above it, owned gold pieces and text area below it.
  • Click any item to get its description. Some items has tiny symbols in the upper right corner of the text area - just like the bone staff in the picture. This bone staff has symbol for two-handed weapon and summoner-only weapon.
  • Click selected item again to equip it (like weapon) or use it (like food). In shops the second click sells the item.
  • On the right side of the screen there are faces of the heroes and equipment of the active hero.
  • Next to it there is a symbol of hero's occupation. Click it to get info in the text area.
  • Below the occupation symbol there's attack power (physical and cold in this case). Displayed numbers already show final power - calculated of weapon's damage, hero's strength and possibly some passive supporting skill.
  • Then there's physical resistance (or armor if you like) and resistances to elements.

On the bottom of the screen there is a series of buttons. These buttons switch to other screens and menus.
  • Floppy disc button goes to main menu.
  • Head button shows hero's statistics and skills - the same screen you encounter during creating a new party (see Introduction, hero characteristics and the creation of the party ).
  • Inventory button has white frame to indicate, what we are looking at. Click it again to return to the view into the dungeon.
  • Gold cup button shows list of quests. In the list, gold marks indicate main quests. They has to be solved to move forward with the story. Silver stars indicate bonus side quests. Solve them, if you like, but it's not necessary to finish the game.
  • Red cancel button cancels the active screen an returns to view into the dungeon.

  • On the right side on the bottom of the inventory screen, you have DROP button (drops selected item), and GROUND button which switches right side of the screen between list of items on the ground and equiped items of a hero. With ground on, DROP button changes to TAKE ALL.
  • It's the same in shops - with the modification, that you switch between the equiped items and shop's offer, not the items on the ground.
  • If you open a chest, it's the same again. This time the list of items on the right side shows items inside the chest.
